LYRONIAN is a music project incorporating singing, guitars, and electronic elements.
It was founded by Alex Kern in 2003.
The basis of each Lyronian song forms catchy harmonies and compelling melodies which are coupled with charismatic singing and multi-interpretable lyrics. Sophisticated Electro-sounds and catchy rhythms allow for a high degree of danceability and the right “groove”.
Lyronian succeed a symbiosis between the sounds of the 80’s and novel sounds without neglecting piano and the guitar aspects.
The bandname combines a neologism and a male pseudonym in one name.

Songwriting

The songwriting combines emotionality with circumstances which cannot be explained with a superficial, rational approach. Ubiquitous scenarios gain in importance, which are often not perceived directly. Lyronian thereby used dramaturgy as a sign of its expressive character, allowing for a critical evaluation of various points of view and circumstances and also wants to reveal processes which can often not be reached with logic and science.
Also drawing on philosophy, mythology, literature, politics, psychology, art, supernatural and cultural things, culminating in a fusion of everything for the Lyronian music and lyrics.
The past musical developments and several genres influence the Lyronian sound. But only the best aspects of this development and the greatest genres are reflected in the Lyronian songs, without endangering the uniqueness of the songs. Lyronian deliberately tries not to draw on sociological ideals of modern music, and rather arises from the idealistic inspirations of the artists themselves.
